About Carmen J. Braxton, MBA

Carmen Braxton is the founder and CEO of Braxton Educational Services and Training, LLC (BEST). BEST is a training and consulting company that offers in-house training services and delivery of a broad range of training courses. BEST offers services to the private and public sector, and organizations in diverse industries including IT, Local Government and Education.

Carmen is a proven Executive with over 25 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, marketing, and training in both the public and private sectors. Highly regarded, she has earned a professional reputation for providing skilled practical guidance, leadership development and effective strategic planning.

Prior to establishing BEST Carmen had a very successful career in the field of education publishing having worked for several of the nation’s leading educational technology and textbook companies. In this capacity she provided leadership and guidance to many of the nation’s largest school districts. She has served in an advisory role to national associations, educational think tanks and local school boards.

In 2001, Carmen was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine for her ability to overcome adversity, adapt to change and achieve at the highest levels both professionally and personally. The article highlighted her as a top performer and industry earner.

Carmen is dedicated to advocacy for children having served as an Executive Board Member and Officer for the Prince George’s County PTA Council representing more than 120,000 school-aged children. Her community service includes working with senior citizens and families in need, mentoring young women and raising funds to provide college scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

Carmen Braxton holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Phoenix, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Organizational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
